Notes: This stub for a dual recital with Giuseppe di Stefano is clearly dated 22nd Sept 1973. This was to have been the first of the thirty-seven or so concerts the pair would give together in Europe, America, Canada and Japan, but due to illness (or apprehension ?) Callas felt unable to perform and the recital was cancelled. However, tickets were honoured for the afternoon of Dec 2nd 1973, when Maria's birthday marked what was, ultimately, the second of her Royal Festival Hall appearances with di Stefano. Their first platform appearance together was actually in Hamburg on 25th October 1973.
